How NowHosted works from audit to everyday hosting
How NowHosted works follows three steps, Audit, Migrate, and Run. Start with a free read-only hosting audit, move your site with our free white-glove migration, and keep it on managed hosting. You review a staging copy before DNS cutover with zero downtime. After signup, your confirmed account connects the audit with the next steps for your move.

01 Audit your current hosting
Paste your site URL, choose the site type, and select the main audience region. The one-time audit reads the public site without changing it and does not require a card. It gives you a real report on the current setup so the decision to move starts with evidence about your own site.
The report covers TTFB, DNS and TLS time, HTTP version, TLS certificate expiry, compression, cache and CDN detection, CMS and PHP detection, and security headers. These checks describe what the public site exposes. They give you a starting point for a hosting review without requiring access to the current hosting account.
- Enter the URL of the site you want to review.
- Choose its site type and main audience region.
- Read the measured findings before deciding what to do next.
If you are comparing services, our guide to how to choose a web host helps connect hosting features with the needs of a business site. The audit gives that discussion context from the site you already run.

02 Migrate with a staging review
Free white-glove migration is included on every plan. We review the existing setup, arrange secure handover of temporary access, and copy the site to staging. You review the copy before the live destination changes. That review keeps application approval with the people who understand the content and the business tasks the site supports.
After your approval, we carry out DNS cutover with low TTL and perform post-move checks. Migration has zero downtime. Your old host stays untouched until you cancel it, giving you control over when to end the previous subscription. The move does not require you to carry out the technical hosting work yourself.
Our website migration process sets out each step and the access needed. Identify who controls the domain, who can provide current hosting access, and who can check the staging copy. Those people may be different members of your team, so clear ownership helps keep the handover organized.

03 Run on managed hosting
Once the site is on NowHosted, we manage the hosting operation. Every plan includes an isolated container per site, SSL, WAF, malware scanning, daily backups, and uptime checks every minute. Global CDN and edge cache support content delivery, while the server region is chosen per site.
Your team keeps control of the site itself. You own content, business settings, and custom application behavior. Staging gives you a place to review changes before pushing them to live. Git deploys, SSH, WP-CLI, and PHP version choice support the people responsible for development and site maintenance.
Read about managed hosting for the service boundary and the WordPress hosting platform for the working tools. Together they explain how ongoing hosting management and your own site work fit into the same routine without making your team responsible for running the underlying server.

Confirm your account and prepare the move
Get started opens signup. Enter your work email and password, then confirm your email with the code sent to you. After confirmation, your account is saved and your audit is attached to it. The audit findings stay connected to the account as you prepare the site for migration.
Choose the hosting plan that fits your sites and applications. Identify the domain, preferred region, current hosting, and the people who can provide access and approve the staging review. Those details turn a general intention to move into a clear handover for the site your business actually uses.
For questions about the move or account requirements, email [email protected]. Arrange the secure access handover as part of migration rather than putting credentials in the initial email. Your team supplies the access and application context; we handle the copy, cutover, and hosting operation.
Keep application decisions with your team
Hosting management covers the service running the site. Your team decides what the site publishes, how its business processes work, and who can use its application accounts. During migration, your review confirms that the copy supports those needs. After the move, the same ownership guides site changes and access decisions.
Use staging when a change needs review, and consider current business data before restoring a backup. Daily off-site backups and one-click restore give you recovery tools, with retention based on the plan. Our hosting security page explains those controls alongside roles, access review, and the incident process.
Match the subscription to your portfolio
Business covers WordPress and PHP sites. Agency adds team roles, bulk plugin and theme updates, a white-label client portal, and support for Node and Laravel apps. Managed n8n, Odoo, and Nextcloud also run on Agency and Scale. Scale adds dedicated resources and account controls for teams with further operating requirements.
Compare the WordPress hosting plans for monthly and yearly billing and the full feature breakdown. Visit allowances are soft limits with no visit overage fees; we suggest a plan upgrade when needed. You can export a full backup and cancel at any time, with access continuing until the paid period ends.
