The bill changes when the next client arrives
Rocket.net is fast, and unmetered visits remove a concern for agencies running busy client sites. Its Cloudflare Enterprise edge is a mature foundation. The reason to compare alternatives is often capacity around those visits rather than performance.
Agency Tier 1 pools 50 GB of storage across 10 sites, averaging 5 GB per site. Tier 2 pools 75 GB across 20 sites, averaging 3.75 GB. These averages are not individual site limits, but they show how quickly a media library can consume the shared allowance. Extra storage costs 2 USD per GB.
Bandwidth has a separate ceiling. Tier 1 includes 200 GB and Tier 2 includes 500 GB, with extra bandwidth at 0.08 USD per GB. A video-heavy client or WooCommerce store can push transfer above the allowance even though visits remain unmetered. Check actual transfer before treating unlimited visits as unlimited capacity.
The first site-count threshold also changes the economics. Site 11 moves the agency from Tier 1 at 100 USD monthly to Tier 2 at 200 USD. That doubles the base bill even if the new client barely uses storage or bandwidth. Compare your current portfolio and the next signed client together.
What 10 client sites cost on each host
These are published October 2026 plan figures in USD. Yearly equivalents require annual billing; they are not monthly payment offers. Storage is shared across the listed portfolio.

At 10 sites, Rocket.net and Pressable each average 5 GB of storage per site. Kinsta averages 4 GB. NowHosted Agency provides 150 GB across up to 20 sites, so a portfolio using 10 of those slots averages 15 GB per site. Spare slots matter when a new retainer starts before another ends.
What changes at 20 client sites
At 20 sites, Rocket.net Tier 2 costs 200 USD monthly or 166 USD billed yearly, with 75 GB storage and 500 GB bandwidth. The alternatives change as follows.
| Plan for 20 sites | Price per month | Visits per month | Storage |

| Kinsta WP 20 | Price per month340 USD monthly or 284 USD billed yearly | Visits per month500,000 | Storage50 GB |

WP Engine sells tiers for 1, 3, 10 and 30 sites, so its 30-site tier is the relevant comparison here. Its price needs a configurator quote. Our WP Engine alternatives for agencies guide examines that portfolio fit further.
An agency with 12 sites
An agency with 12 sites needs Rocket.net Agency Tier 2 at 200 USD monthly. Kinsta WP 10 plus extra sites costs 225 USD plus 60 USD, or 285 USD monthly, because each additional site costs 30 USD. Those add-ons increase site count; check storage and traffic capacity separately.
Pressable needs Signature 5 at 1,550 USD yearly, about 129 USD per month. NowHosted Agency costs 149 USD monthly or 888 USD yearly, equivalent to 74 USD per month. Both plans accommodate the portfolio within their included site counts. WP Engine needs a quote for its 30-site tier.
This is a base-plan comparison. Add measured storage and bandwidth excess to Rocket.net, and measured visit or storage excess to Pressable. Compare annual commitments separately from monthly payments so a lower advertised equivalent does not hide a payment schedule your agency cannot use.
What to check before switching
Export storage, bandwidth and visits for each client. Identify the site consuming the largest share of each allowance. Image-heavy stores need disk space even with modest traffic, while downloads and video can consume transfer without a similar rise in visitors. Ask each candidate host to assess those workloads.
Compare backup retention as well as capacity. Rocket.net Agency and NowHosted Agency both retain backups for 30 days. Kinsta WP plans retain 14 days. Rocket.net already matches NowHosted here, so backup retention alone is not a reason to leave it. Confirm restore access and the process before choosing.
Check client access with the people who actually use it. NowHosted Agency includes a white-label client portal with your logo, billing transfer, owner, developer, billing and client roles, plus priority support. Rocket.net includes an Agency Toolkit; ask Rocket.net which white-label features it currently covers rather than assuming the tools are equivalent.
Reselling hosting also means you bill clients monthly, so automate the reminders for unpaid client invoices as part of your billing process. The reseller hosting for agencies page explains NowHosted's client-facing setup. Keep your client charges and the host's renewal commitment visible in the same budget.
How to move client sites off Rocket.net with zero downtime
Work in batches, beginning with sites that have straightforward content and no live checkout. Lower DNS TTL to 300 seconds before the move and allow the previous TTL to expire. Record existing DNS settings so you can restore them if the destination has a problem.
Copy each site into staging on the destination. Test forms by submitting them and checking delivery. Test orders, payment callbacks, account logins, redirects and scheduled tasks where applicable. Keep staging out of search results and prevent test copies from sending real customer notifications or processing live payments.
For WooCommerce, agree on a final data sync that preserves orders arriving during the change. DNS alone does not synchronize databases. Coordinate writes or traffic routing during that handoff so an old copy cannot accept an order that the new copy never receives. Confirm the method with both hosts before switching.
Point DNS to the destination only after testing. Keep Rocket.net serving the old copy while DNS caches expire, then verify SSL, forms and checkout on the live destination. Zero downtime depends on that overlap and a working data handoff. NowHosted includes free website migration on every plan; agree on the cutover details before the move.
Match the host to the constraint
Choose Pressable when annual price is the deciding factor and your sites fit its visit allowances. Signature 4 matches Rocket.net Tier 1's storage at a lower yearly equivalent. Budget for its published visit and storage overages if a client grows beyond the allowance.
Choose Kinsta when you prefer paying for additional site slots while the rest of the portfolio still fits WP 10. It is not the cheaper base plan in this comparison. Our Kinsta alternatives for agencies guide compares its broader portfolio costs.
Choose WP Engine when its site tiers fit your pipeline and its configurator quote works for your budget. Check the 10-site tier's 20 GB storage against your media libraries before accepting the quote. Site count alone does not establish whether a plan fits.
Choose NowHosted when shared storage, client branding and predictable usage charges drive the decision. Agency includes 20 sites, 150 GB storage and soft visit limits with no overage fees. Compare payment terms on the WordPress hosting plans page before choosing monthly or annual billing.
Stay on Rocket.net if unmetered visits solve your biggest problem, your sites fit its storage and bandwidth caps, and its edge network performs well for your clients. Its generous single-site plans also deserve consideration for standalone clients. Agency Toolkit and 30-day backups are reasons to keep a setup that already works.
